ਪਹਿਲਾ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ 2007 ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਭਾਰਤ ਫਾਈਨਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣਿਆ। ਉਸ ਹਾਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨੀ ਟੀਮ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸ਼ੋਏਬ ਮਲਿਕ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਦਿਲ ਟੁੱਟ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ, ਦੋ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਫਿਰ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ‘ਚ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਿਸ ਖਾਨ ਦੀ ਕਪਤਾਨੀ ‘ਚ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਲੰਕਾ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਖਿਤਾਬ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ। ਉਦੋਂ ਸ਼ੋਏਬ ਮਲਿਕ ਵੀ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਟੀਮ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਈਵ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਕੱਪ ਜਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਸ਼ੋਏਬ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ੋਅ ‘ਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦੱਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ 2009 ‘ਚ ਟੀ-20 ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਚੈਂਪੀਅਨ ਬਣੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਨਵਾਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਸੀ। ਫਿਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਯੂਨਿਸ ਖਾਨ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਟਰਾਫੀ ਚੁੱਕੋਗੇ। ਨਵੇਂ ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵੱਡੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੀ। ਕਪਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਸ਼ੋਏਬ ਭਾਵੁਕ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਈਵ ਟੀਵੀ ਸ਼ੋਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੰਝੂ ਵਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
