ਸਿੱਖ ਕੱਕਾਰ ਧਾਰਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਧਾਰੀ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਬੀਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਜੁਡੀਸ਼ੀਅਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ
ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਭਾਗੀ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਕ ਹੋਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਧਾਰੀ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਬੀਬੀ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ 23 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਜੁਡੀਸ਼ੀਅਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੱਕਾਰ ਧਾਰਣ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਬੀਬੀ ਅਰਮਾਨਜੋਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਭਾਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ’ਕੜਾ’ ਅਤੇ ’ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ’ ਉਤਾਰਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਕੱਕਾਰ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮੌਲਿਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਨਿੰਦਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ।
ਰਾਜਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਜਨ ਲਾਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਵਿਤਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਤਾਹੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਖਿਆ ਸਟਾਫ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੱਚੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਭਾਵਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੇਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਮੁਲਕ ਜਿਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ, ਵਿਚ ਦੂਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।
It is indeed shocking that another Amritdhari woman advocate – Bibi Lakhwinder Kaur was refused entry into a centre of the Rajasthan Judiciary exam on June 23 as she was wearing Sikh articles of faith.
Earlier Bibi Armanjot Kaur was barred from sitting in the examination. It is very distressing that Lakhwinder Kaur was forced to remove her ‘Kara’ and ‘Kirpan’ before entering the examination hall.
The manner in which the fundamental right to practise one’s faith is being violated by the Rajasthan government is condemnable.
Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal’s delay in reacting to this affront against the #Sikh community and taking strict action against the erring examination staff has hurt the sentiments of the entire community. Sikhs should not be made to feel like second class citizens in their own country for which they have made the maximum sacrifices.
