Election Commission News: ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ PM ਮੋਦੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਟਿਸ, ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤੇ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਦੋਸ਼
Election Commission News: ਭਾਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਨੇਤਾ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ਉਤੇ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਜ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾਵਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਧਰਮ, ਜਾਤ, ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਪਾੜਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲੱਗੇ ਹਨ।
ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ 29 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੇਰੇ 11 ਵਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਜਵਾਬ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਚੋਣ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਗੂ ਰਾਹੁਲ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਥਿਤ ਚੋਣ ਜ਼ਾਬਤੇ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦਾ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਜਪਾ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਉਪਰ ਧਰਮ, ਜਾਤ, ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਂ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਵੰਡ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
The poll panel – whose response had been awaited as a litmus test on the conduct of a free and fair election in the country – has sought a response from the presidents of the two parties – the BJP’s JP Nadda and the Congress’ Mallikarjun Kharge – by 11 am Monday, April 29.
It is significant that neither notice named the senior leaders against whom complaints had been made – i.e., the Prime Minister and Rahul Gandhi. Also, each notice contained copies of the rival’s complaint.
